About the Company:

With a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and a supportive team environment, they are now seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their growing team.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Diesel Mechanic to service, maintain, and repair a variety of diesel-powered equipment, vehicles, and machinery. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of essential machinery, supporting projects across Central Otago.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and mechanical systems.
Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
Perform inspections, fault finding, and troubleshooting.
Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and workshop team.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
Proven experience with heavy machinery, trucks, and agricultural equipment.
Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitude.
Commitment to health, safety, and quality practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Current NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 or 4 an advantage).
WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) endorsements would be a bonus.
